What to Expect
During a photopheresis treatment, lymphocytes are collected from the blood by a cell-separation technique on a system specifically designed and validated for photopheresis. The drug UVADEX® (methoxsalen) is injected directly into the white blood cell collection bag during treatment.
The following sections describe how to prepare for photopheresis treatment, what happens during treatment, and what to expect after treatment.
